“I like to contribute to everyone's consciousness and happiness.”
My foundation of resilience
I grew up with a depressed mother who was often hospitalized for weeks or months when I was very young, and a father who worked long hours to care for us. They divorced when I was six. My parents were very loving, but they struggled with life and were therefore emotionally unavailable. As a child, I felt alone and misunderstood. There, I decided I would do it alone and be perfect so I would still be loved. These strategies have also taken me far. This foundation gave me exactly what I needed and made me who I am today.

My journey to healing and connection
Singing was an important survival mechanism for me, and I did so professionally for years in all the theaters in the Netherlands. It was a wonderfully successful time, and it helped me create space for all my emotions and connect with that deeper layer within myself. I found so much support and recognition in all those beautiful songs. My studies at the conservatory and the cabaret academy, the songs and performances I wrote, were actually a kind of disguised therapy for me. In the singing lessons I gave at conservatories and musical theater schools, I often focused on the personal development of my students. I've always had a deep interest in people and their behavior. They jokingly called me the vocal psychologist. To the outside world, I might have seemed successful, and everyone thought I was pursuing my dream, but inside, I was struggling immensely.
Thanks to yoga and meditation, I became increasingly aware of the patterns I had developed. Workshops in emotional bodywork took this even further. I was healing, I could let the love flow within me again, I softened and was able to make different choices, even allowing romantic love into my life. This development also made me increasingly realize that I no longer needed to sing to receive love and attention. I was able to love myself more and feel that I am perfectly fine just the way I am. I decided to follow my heart and combine my two great loves: my voice and personal development. This was followed by training in Family Constellations, Breathwork Coaching, and The Mask Maker at Phoenix.
I have a deep desire to connect, to truly connect with myself and others. I love contributing to everyone's awareness and happiness. Singing in the theater was a wonderful platform for this, but in coaching, I've found my true audience. You're welcome to explore your life and patterns together and turn your blockages into sources of strength. So you can live in love, freedom, and connection!
